He's meticulous, patient, and strong-willed — up at 0500 for a ten-mile run before breakfast, capable of squatting motionless beside a jungle trail for three days waiting to ambush bad guys that might never show up.

His Japanese father and Korean mother owned a grocery store in Watts. Too short to play basketball, Quick Kick turned to martial arts — earning black belts in Tae Kwon Do, Goju-Ryu, Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Zen Sword, and Wing Chun. He was working as a Hollywood stunt man when recruited for the G.I. Joe team.
